KATATONIA 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

Katatonia entered their 20th year in 2011 and are celebrating with a number of shows across Europe. The shows are dubbed the "Last Fair Day Gone Night – An Evening With Katatonia tour 2011". Their plan is to play two hour sets split into two sections. The first section being the album 'Last Fair Deal Gone Down' played in it's entirety, and the second being a mix of other tracks - some old, some new, and some obscure never before played live.

As well as being Katatonia's 20th anniversary it is also the 10th anniversary of the album 'Last Fair Deal Gone Down', which really pushed the band into mainstream popularity. Katatonia are saluting the album by playing it live during their tour.

In addition to the regular tickets sold for the shows the band are also selling VIP tickets. The VIP access will allow fans early access to the show, an exclusive meet and greet with the whole band, and access to listen to the sound check and setup of the stage. There's also a tour messenger bag available to VIP members which includes a shirt for the particular show, a 20 page programme, limited edition vinyl of the 'Night Is The New Day' album, a VIP laminate and other merch items.

One 'grand prize' will be draw from the VIPs, Katatonia will release more details of this in the weeks to come. VIP tickets are on sale now, regular tickets go on sale Wednesday 19.

For those of us who aren't in Europe or can't make the shows, the London show will be recorded and released on DVD later in the year.
