JOE PERRY OF AEROSMITH M.I.A.?

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith wants to record a new album, but claims he can’t find Joe Perry. Tyler goes on to say that he feels like he has had enough "downtime" and has been in contact with the other band members. However, there has been tension between Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for some time now.

Both Tyler and Perry tried once before to record a follow-up to the 2001 release "Just Push Play". This was just a few years ago with producer Brenden O’Brien, and due to the fact that the Toxic Twins couldn’t get along the whole project was scrapped. Aerosmith has toured since then but there is so much tension between them that they barely speak off-stage. Occasionally having on-stage feuds too, remember this?
Steven Tyler seems optimistic about the band getting back to the studio together. He believes he and Joe Perry can find some sort of common ground. But Joe Perry has painted a different picture. He is fully prepared to go out and find a new singer to replace Steven Tyler saying "You’ve got the four guys that are great together. If you find the right singer, there’s no reason you can’t go out and entertain people".

So just what does the future hold for Aerosmith? If you believe Steven Tyler, the band is going great and they will be back in the studio soon. On the flip side, Joe Perry has put it out there that he would rather work with a different singer than to have to deal with Steven Tyler. I suppose we will just have to sit back and see what happens.
