Bruno Mars Looks to Deny Rihanna and Jessie J Top Spot in Charts

The pop battle of the week has to be between Rihanna, Jessie J and Bruno Mars. While “What’s My Name” is currently reigning as number one in the charts, initial sales figures are strongly suggesting “Grenade” is going it knock her off – with “Do It Like a Dude” charting number 2.

This will be a bit of a shame, as Jessie J had been given an explosive start to the year by winning the BBC’s Sound of 2011 poll, and we had hoped she would storm the charts too. Her public profile is still in the ascendant though, so a number one will be hers sooner or later we’re sure.

As for the album chart, it looks like Rihanna will say number one with Plan B similarly being a non mover at number two – but Adele could just budge this out.  ( Picture Courtesy of Brothers Le )
